Faces Noticed

Faces Noticed are chance encounters of peoples faces found in public places. The person may or may not know that he or she is being photographed. As a photographer, I am being an observer capturing the spontaneity of the moment. The joy is in seeing the infinitely different faces and their endless changing expressions.

I also look for and photograph faces in public ART. This street art can smack you in the face because of its freedoms of expression, social statements, and exciting beauty. Look around and you can find this art everywhere, in murals, graffiti, advertising, and posters. It is on the sides of buildings, in the subway, on trains and buses, street signs, and even trash cans.

This is an ongoing series that seems to catch my attention everywhere I look.

Have you noticed what’s in a face?
