Negative Illuminations - The PhotoGRAM

Photograms are a unique photographic process of painting with light. They have all the surface appearance of a photograph, but photograms are made WITHOUT the use of a camera. Conceptually quite simple, photograms are contact prints made in a chemically based darkroom. Objects are placed directly on light sensitive paper, and exposed to light. The result is an image of the shadows that the objects make, juxtaposed to create a picture of ideas.
